365 Days as a Blogger

Today marks the 1st anniversary of my first blog post.  This post is number 141.

In that time I have planned and performed 94 church services, read 18 books, played 14 rounds of golf, mowed my lawn 7 times, recorded 5 songs, and bought 1 new guitar.

12 months well spent.

Get a Free CD!

Cdcover_1 The new CD is out.  It's called Lifewater: Songs for the King, Vol. 1.  It' s availabable now at CDBaby and iTunes.

However, if you'd like to get your very own copy, totally free (I'll even pay for the shippping) here's what you can do...

Create an iMix on Apple iTunes with one or two of my songs on it (from any of my CD releases).
Itunes_1Get 20 people to rate it with 4 stars or better and then send me the link.  After I verify it, I'll send you a copy of my new CD totally free.

There are a couple of things you should ensure when you set up your iMix.

  1. Include at least 1 but no more than 3 of my songs on it (search Bart Blair or Grace Worship Band in the iTunes store to find the songs).
  2. The iMix should have between 10 and 30 songs.
  3. Only select songs that can be purchased individually.
  4. Select a mix of artists whose songs are similar in style to mine (Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Tim Hughes, Hillsong, etc. << unfortunately there are fewer choices in the Canada store than in the U.S. store).

Creating an iMix is really simple.  (1) Click the + in the bottom left corner of your iTunes browser.  That will start a new playlist.  (2) Search for the songs you want to add.  (3) Drag and drop them into your playlist.  (4) When you've finished, click the little arrow on your playlist and publish it.  (5) Then send it to your friends and ask them to to rate it.  You don't have to buy any songs.

It really is simple.  In the time that I've written this blog entry, I could have published 2 or 3 iMixes.  Let me know if you've got any questions!
